Our active youth participants during the “Mga Batang Pinagpala sa Pagkalinga ni Maria”
Blessings abound last October 11, 2015 as the Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu Parish Youth Ministry (PYM) with the support of the Parish Pastoral Council embarked on the children’s ministry “Mga Batang Pinagpala sa Pagkalinga ni Maria” (Mary’s Refuge for Blessed Children). PYM’s principle of “Bringing Youth Closer to Christ” was truly exemplified as PYM members brought together the less fortunate children loitering around the parish premises to praise and thank Jesus for the blessings received on that fun-filled morning of watching a short animated video and learning about the creation of the world, sharing a meal and taking home gifts (rice, canned goods, noodles) for their families.
It was the Ministry of Lectors’ turn last October 25, 2015 to lend a hand to PYM and impart to the children of Jesus’ love and friendship with them thru singing joyful songs, watching videos and coloring pictures of Jesus and Mary, sharing a meal and taking home gifts for their personal care (towel, soap, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste) and other goodies. The children’s ministry continues with the support of a different parish organization every other Sunday as part of the upcoming 300th year celebration of the dedication of the Parish to our Mother and Patroness, Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu in 2016.
