The Media and Public Information Ministry (MPIM) prepares for today’s live coverage in Facebook
Church members and parishioners start to fill the Parish grounds as early as 5AM for the finishing touches for today’s historical event. Different church ministries and organizations are hand in hand in keeping everything checked.
San Mateo Police Traffic begins to guide commuters and drivers alternate routes. Roads are closed from Paraiso St. (St. Matthew’s College) to Kambal Road, likewise along Gen. Luna Avenue from San Mateo Municipal College to the parish church to ensure the safety of the participants of the ceremony and alleviate heavy traffic.
Some of the guests and priests from the Diocese of Antipolo are starting to arrive. The canonical ceremony will begin at 8:30 AM with a procession of the image of the Holy Mother from the oratory to the main altar.
The Eucharistic Mass will begin at 9AM where 74 priests and 5 cardinals mostly from the Diocese of Antipolo, government officials, and other guests will join the event. His Eminence, Orlando Cardinal Quevedo of the Archdiocese of Cotabato and our Parish Rector and Priest, Rev. Father Larry Paz will preside the crowning of the image of the Our Lady of Aranzazu.
Parishioners are encouraged to go to the parish early. Seats inside the Church are designated to various groups. The left pews have been designated for the public officials and sponsors while the center pews are designated for the guest priests. Seats and tents are also set up at the patio for the parishioners. It’s a cloudy morning so it’s best to bring umbrellas.
