All the way from Bulacan, a group of devotee intended to go at the Diocesan Shrine Parish of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu to witness the significant event: The Canonical Coronation of Our Lady of Aranzazu. However, this is not their first time to visit DSPNSDA. In fact, this is one of the parishes they visited for their pilgrimage last May 20.
Every holy week they are surely be seen to be part of the procession. They own a relic of some saint in their house. They bought a white handkerchief and a small image of Aranzazu. Along with this is the hope that these souvenirs will be blessed by the priest after the coronation.
Elsie Calaya Glendaya, a faithful believer of Aranzazu from Paombong experienced this extraordinary happening. She believes that the Blessed Virgin is the reason behind the miraculous events in her life. A doctor introduced Aranzazu to Elsie. One of her petitions is to bring his husband back and to have a complete family again. In return, she is here to witness the Canonical Coronation and to show gratitude to Our Lady.
Joining them is Myrna Gatchalian Valencia, a councilor from the municipality of Paombong, Bulacan also a believer of Aranzazu. She is known for being a religious person and active citizen of their church.
These stories depict the virtue of faithfulness. Distant is not an excuse to show the veneration to Our Lady of Aranzazu. All obstacles and struggles will be paid off in a simple touch to Blessed Virgin. (Camille Cabal and Lester De Castro)
