Studying has diverse completion stages mainly known as the graduation or moving up ceremony for the K-12 learners, for some it serves as a mark of a new beginning for another journey or chapter in the academic life of a learner. As a junior high school student, the moving up ceremony is probably the most rewarding event after all of the seemingly unending projects, assignments and bloody research papers that is necessary to be accomplished in school. This most-awaited ceremony of a student also serves as an indication where most of the learners’ part their ways towards their new path, career goal and for others like me, new school.
Being a catholic student for numerous years, I have valued to place God and prayer in the center of everything I do or achieve. My life as a learner is not perfect, my prayers aren’t always consistent; there are always ups and downs. Life may be unpredictable and has a lot of changes but one thing should always remain the same when it comes to me and that is always having faith in Him. I had a difficult time, entering one of the biggest and well-known university has always been my dream but our financial status was greatly unfavorable at the time and I even doubted myself if I will even surpass the pressuring academic life in entering the university. In this situation, the only left thing to do is pray and let Him lead the way. I believe that weather or not I enter my dream school, He has even greater plans that will never fail to surprise me. But luckily the prayers paid-off and I am now officially an incoming grade 11 student of the university.
We may have learned so much from school but there is more to learn from Him that is worthy to share to the faithful and to those who are in doubt. First, not everything you want is really what you need, when it comes to material things that only give temporary happiness but with God everything is eternal. Second, always accept and appreciate what is given to you because with Him everyone has and is a blessing. And lastly, He has greater plans waiting for you to encounter because through Him nothing is impossible. We must always remember Him especially during times of success and new beginnings because we eventually forget to give Him credits when it comes to this joyful situation. A person who dedicates one’s achievement will always be sanctified and shepherded more by God, we must always move up with Him to inspire and serve others and move their faith. (Mariele Aquino)
