Parish Youth Ministry conducted their annual Summer Friendship Games 2017 with the theme “Laro ng Lahi: Tumindig at Makisaya kabataan ni Aranzazu”, last June 9 and 10 at the NSDA Gymnasium. This two-day event was attended by multiple youth organizations including the Ministry of Altar Servers, Avant Garde Singers, GAWARASAL, Tarcisian Adorers and Tanghalang Aranzazu.
The program started with the Holy Mass, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Boy Daguman followed by the parade of participating teams with their team leaders: Maan Betita and Darwin Udaundo of Yellow Tiboli, Danielle Cruz and Sean Cole Touchette of Red Maranao, Jeffersone Magdaraog and Angel Joyce Redoble of Green Manobo and Jason Villanueva and Allijha Miguel of Blue Lumad together with their muses and escorts. The PYM Core led the opening production.
On the first day of the event, fun games such as Patintero, Buwan-buwan and Iring-Iring were played. Each team gave their representatives per game, assigned by their team leaders. Everyone participated and had fun, wearing big smiles on their faces as the night proceeded.
The event continued the following day with the much awaited Bingo Bonanza, Volleyball and basketball. Men’s Basketball and Mixed Volleyball were prioritized for the whole afternoon. The announcement of winners was facilitated by the PYM Core as closing of the Summer Friendship Games 2017, giving out prizes and certificates to every team that participated. Blue lumad declared as the overall champion of this years’ sportsfest.
All the participants had the opportunity to meet and make new friends while enjoying the whole event.
