In our daily commuting life, we encounter traffic lights and road signs. We can associate these things in our life.
Traffic jams are already a part of our daily lives that we cannot get rid of. But by the help of traffic lights, roads will flow better and people will have a safer ride. Imagine how unorganized and miserable the road would be when there are no traffic lights. These lights serves as a guide when to go, wait and stop.
Green light means go. This conveys that we need to move forward and to stop looking back. We cannot move forward if we keep on looking back on the past. Life is incomplete without problems because these will build us to a better person. As we face these difficulties, we need keep on moving forward just like what Albert Einstein said, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
Yellow light means that we have to wait. This showcase the virtue of patience wherein we learn to wait for the green light. In life, we need to wait for everything because all things will arrive at the right time and right place. Some people wants instant things but take note that everything we worked hard to achieve is worth it.
Red light means stop. This remind us to stop and take a breath every now and then; to think about which road we’re about to take next. There are times that we don’t know what to do; when there are problems and struggles; probably that’s the time to stop and think what action you would do to conquer and solve that particular problem.
Aside from traffic lights, we also see road signs along the way. Just like in life, we need to follow these road signs in order to arrive at our destination. It reminds us how many miles we need to take to on order for us to reach our destination. In real life this could be our closest friends and family who are always there to support us whatever struggle and success we are going thru. Don’t be afraid to move forward, slow down or take turn for as long as you don’t harm others. (Lester de Castro)
