Just this morning, Dani Villanueva was installed as the new Evangelization Head of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Aranzazu. The installation happened after the 7:30am mass, which was officiated by Rev. Fr. Larry Paz. After the installation, Fr. Larry gave him the go signal meet the organization heads, as he will now be leading the organizations under the Evangelization and Lay formation.
Kuya Dani, as he is fondly called, started serving the parish in 1994 as part of the Pagibig ng Panginoon Community. After three years, he became part of GAWARASAL and eventually became its head in 1999. He then jumped as Parish Youth Ministry (PYM) coordinator in 2001 and headed the Ministry for seven long years. In 2008, he became the Vicariate coordinator, leading and creating programs for the seven parishes of Our Lady of Aranzazu Vicariate. He continued to inspire more youth as he became the coordinator of Ministry for Youth Affairs of the Diocese of Antipolo from 2009 to 2015.During his stay in the Diocese as the coordinator, his notable accomplishment was the implementation of the different formation programs being given by the MYA staff to the sixty plus parishes of the Diocese.
He was also given different awards and citations, recognizing his valuable accomplishments to the church community. Part of his notable awards are the Outstanding Youth Leader Award given by the PYM of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Aranzazu, the John Paull II National Youth Ministry Award and Radio Veritas Witnesses of Truth award.
Kuya Dani has been working as teacher at Nuestra Senora de Aranzazu Parochial School for 16 years. He recently finished his MA degree on Theological Studies-FIRE (Formation Institute for Religious Education) at the Ateneo de Manila University.
