At last! We already had our first General Assembly!

August 6, Sunday was such a memorable day because it was packed with so much fun, it was also a day to highlight the role and importance of the younger generations in spreading the word of God. The event was comprised of scripture readings, reflections, lectures, praise and worship and of course, games and group activities that worked well for all the participants.

“Kita kita” was organized because we all want to have a mini-reunion (for old times’ sake) and to enjoy each other’s company again, because let’s face it, works get in a way and we all lead busy lives. Gawarasal also wants to emulsify the community together and bring them together through Jesus Christ.

Gawarasal or Gawa, Aral, Dasal was one of the organization in our parish started in the early 80’s, it was under the Evangelization and Youth Ministry.  The members of the group were actively involved in various church related activities aiming to promote “new evangelization” and a “renewed” emphasis on leading people specially the youth to a real, deeper relationship with Christ – with and through Mary, Our Lady of Aranzazu.

Overall it was a very successful event and we are all anticipating for our next get-together. Just like what Empoy said in the movie, “It’s now, it’s never!” so “Kita kita” every Sunday mga Kabayan! (Jason Villanueva)
