CAINTA, Rizal – Cofradia de los Hijos de Maria holds the 9th Salve Regina Grand Marian Exhibit 2017 at Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall in Cainta, Rizal. Over 80 images of the Blessed Virgin Mary with different titles and from the different parts of Metro Manila and other neighboring provinces join the annual exhibit. The exhibit will run from August 06 to 27.
Situated at the main entrance of the gallery is the replica image of our beloved patroness Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu that will greet all the spectators with her beauty and splendor while wearing her Burdang Orani purple vestment made by Mr. Marvin Sotto. The floral decoration adds more grandeur for the general set-up of Our Lady of Aranzazu.
Our parish participates annually in the said exhibit to share to others our devotion to Our Lady of Aranzazu especially for those who are not familiar on her title. The title of the exhibit “Salve Regina” is a Latin word, which means Hail Holy Queen.
Nuestra Señora delos Desamparados de Marikina as the festejada of this year’s Salve Regina Marian Exhibit 2017
According to Mr. Clarck Dedrick Rayos, an admin of the Cofradia de los Hijos de Maria, they organize the Marian exhibit at Sta. Lucia Mall once a year to promote the Marian devotion among the Catholics. The image of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu once became a festejada of the said Marian exhibit way back 2010 while Nuestra Señora delos Desamparados de Marikina is the selected festejada for this year’s Marian exhibit.

Some of our kababayan from San Mateo also presented their images in the said Marian exhibit. Three images from our parish viz. (1) Nuestra Señora de la Oliva, which is under the supervision of Mr. Mark Anthony Arista (2) Nuestra Señora Madre de Dios, under the care of Mr. Jeppoy Buenviaje and (3) Nuestra Señora de las Penas, under the guidance of Mr. Nico Cruz. These three impressive Marian images are also use in our parish activities such as processions and novena.

This annual Salve Regina Marian Exhibit is the finest opportunity and a perfect venue especially for the mall-goers to know more about the Mother of God and her different titles and attributes. Each title of the Virgin Mary has a lesson and gives us an inspiration because of her important signs and messages to us. It shows that Our Lady plays various roles as the mother of the savior. It reminds every spectator that despite of the numerous titles and different faces of the Mama Mary, she is only one. She is no other than Mary, our mother. Salve Regina! (Christian Robles)
