The Social Communicators of the Diocese of Antipolo as they shared light moments during their productive discussions over a General Assembly of all Media Ministers/Social Communication Ministry Heads this year. Diocese of Antipolo Social Communications

As people living in a democratic country we are entitled with the right to voice-out our opinions or to express our concurrence or dissent to certain matters. This is part of our constitutional rights by virtue of the 1987 Philippine Constitution.

It also includes our right to choose which religion to believe or faith to embrace.

Thus, it is understandable when there are people who would either support or negate your points in any of the modes of communication. As communicators, the challenge for us is to respond to these whenever necessary.

The session will be joined by our guests: Atty. Edwin Lacierda and Atty. Abigail Valte.

In line with this, the Social Communications Ministry of the Diocese of Antipolo will be holding a Seminar entitled, “iSpeak: Unleash the best communicator in you.”

“The objective of the seminar is to widen the participants’ periphery on the different communications strategies and let them discover how they can apply some of it to their respective parishes. Also, this is to expose them to different situations perhaps that would require their communications skills in delivering messages or formal communiques to recipients,” says Engr. James Wong, Coordinator for the Diocesan SoCom.

This seminar will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Chancery Hall in Parish of Immaculate Heart of Mary Compound, Antipolo City.

With esteemed guests, namely: Atty. Edwin Lacierda and Atty. Abigail Valte, It will be a free-admission seminar for all participants. Anyone from the Diocese of Antipolo is encouraged to join. However, members of any parish-based Social Communications Ministry in the diocese will be given priority.

Lacierda and Valte were both part of the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson during the time of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. After their stint in the government, they are now handling a public relations firm that specializes in crisis management.
