MANILA – “Sa kanyang paglalakbay, kami ay sasama”
The official replica of our patroness; Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu participated in the 2nd Marian exhibit and procession at the Parish of the Most Holy Trinity of Balic-Balic, Sampaloc, Manila. The Marian exhibit run from October 15 to 22, while the Marian procession was held yesterday (October 22) featuring several carozzas bearing different images with different titles of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This event is in connection with the 85th anniversary of the Holy Trinity Parish.
“Rosy in pink”, the image is wearing her pink terno embroidered vestment that emphasizes the maternal sweetness of her face. The procession takes nearly two hours passing throughout the streets of Sampaloc. This is the first visit of Our Lady of Aranzazu in the community of Balic-Balic. Many spectators were astonished upon seeing Our Lady’s image passed by in front of their houses.
The Association of Our Lady of Aranzazu and Knights of Our Lady of Aranzazu accompanied her image while exuberantly singing the Pamimintuho sa Birhen ng Aranzazu, and praying the Holy Rosary at the middle of the procession, as well as the distribution of Aranzazu estampitas or prayer cards as part of promotion.
One of the most remarkable scenes in the procession is the combination of the “Tres Coronadas” highlighting the three canonically crowned Marian images in the Diocese of Antipolo namely Nuestra Señora dela Paz y Buenviaje (Birhen ng Antipolo), Nuestra Señora delos Delos Desamparados de Marikina, and our acclaimed patroness Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu.
The devotion to Our Lady of Aranzazu unceasingly scatters. Her participation in several Marian Processions and exhibit is a good way to propagate the devotion to her and most importantly, bringing her closer to her children, which is the main purpose of such activities.
