DSPNSDA Parish Pastoral Council President Bro. Frank Faildon, with other delegates from the respective BECs were present on the RCDA BEC Big Day event last November 4 at Cainta Catholic College.
CAINTA CATHOLIC COLLEGE, Cainta – The Diocese of Antipolo’s Ministry of Social and Human Development and the Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC)/Munting Sambayanang Kristyano (MSKs) of the Diocese of Antipolo held its BEC Big Day yesterday, November 4, 2017, at the Cainta Catholic College Auditorium.
The BEC Big Day served as a highlight before the Year of Parish ends on November 26. Representatives from different Parishes from the nine Vicariates, including our representatives from Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Aranzazu, were present in the event that started with an energetic dancing and singing led by the youth of St. Clement Parish which broke the ice for everyone present and were welcomed by the BEC lay coordinator Ms. Ramona Valencia.
Antipolo Diocese’s beloved bishop Most Rev. Francisco De Leon led the eucharistic celebration followed by oath taking of all the BEC representatives / parish-members and officers and then the unveiling of BEC’s new logo.
The theme for the activity, “Tayo, tungo sa pagpapalakas at pagpapahalaga sa Maliit na Sambayanang Kristyano” , stayed through to its word as the program progresses with a clip from the Word Exposed of Archbishop of Manila Cardinal Luisito “Chito” Tagle where he explained the meaning of BEC and the importance of having a BEC in the community or parish.
A meaningful talk was shared by Archdiocese of Manila Ministry on BEC formation and Promotion Rev. Fr. Benjie Ledesma, Ms. Emilie DC. Duay of BEC Barrington and Mr. Godofredo Marciano of BEC Pantok.
Ms. Emilie shared the their programs in their parish and community. she left this teaching to the present members, “Kung hindi kayang dalin ang tao sa simbahan, ang simbahan ang dalin natin sa tao.’ On the other hand Mr. Marciano had shared the reason why he is now an active member of the BEC. He felt that this was all because Jesus had led him to BEC after he had been cured of his unknown illness.
