(UPDATED) SAN MATEO, Rizal – Fr. Lawrence “Larry” Paz, died of heart attack early this morning, February 10 at San Mateo Doctors Hospital where he was rushed.

Fr. Larry has always been transparent about his ailments but this morning, the parish priest of Our Lady of Aranzazu Parish, has returned to the arms of our creator at the age of 55

The so-called charismatic priest, became the parish priest of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu (DSPNSDA) on 2012 until this year, when he was believed to end his term to transfer into another parish.

Fr. Larry created numerous milestones and legacies in our parish. It was under his term when Our Lady of Aranzazu was Episcopally Coronated on 2013. As well as the recent and unforgettable Pontifical Coronation of Our Lady of Aranzazu was also under his term as Rector and Parish Priest.

It is remembered that Fr. Larry also spearheaded the renovation of the entire parish, its ventilation, adoration chapel and a lot more.

Aside from these, Fr. Larry has deeply touched the souls of the parishioners and devotees through instilling God’s teaching in the hearts in each of us most especially on his reflections during Mass Homilies, his famous video promotion “Kaibigan Saglit Lang” series and lately, his continuous sharing of heart-warming stories on the parish website. (He is the current Director of the Diocesan Social Communications of the Diocese of Antipolo and Spiritual director of the Media Ministry of DSPNSDA)

His remains will stay at DSPNSDA until February 13, 2018, 10:00 AM, Tuesday then will transfer around 2:00 PM to San Miguel, Manila. There would be a special mass this coming February 10, 2018, Monday, at 10:00 AM offered by Diocese of Antipolo’s clergy.

Editors Note: It was initially reported that the confirmed time of death was around 2:00 am; but for clarifications, it was that time, the news broke to the Editorial team and was later updated on this website as advised reports from the DSPNSDA Parish Office. We stand corrected.
