Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” – John 14:6
Early this morning, the patio of Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora De Aranzazu (DSPNSDA) was filled with devotees as Rev. Fr. Lopito “Bembol” Hiteroza started the mass.
The homily focused on the sacrifice and love of God for us. It is said that the greatest form of love is sacrifice. Hence, by sacrificing and dying on the cross is God’s way of showing His love to his children. The life and sacrifice of Christ reflects how much God loves us, that’s why it’s right that people give importance unto it by reflecting from the heart that will strengthen our faith and connection with him.
After the mass, the palms which are believed to ward off bad spirits and bad luck were blessed. Palm Sunday marks the start of the Holy Week. (Lester de Castro)
