His holiness Pope Francis has approved the Canonical Coronation of Nuestra Señora del Pillar de Morong-Patroness of Morong, Bataan.
The image will be the 2nd Coronada in the Diocese of Balanga next to Nuestra Señora del Santissimo Rosario de Orani in 1959 which was crowned under Pope John XXIII.

Last October 12, 2017, the image was granted an Episcopal Coronation. Virgen del Pillar de Morong will also be the 5th Coronada under the title “Del Pillar” (such as Del Pillar de Zamboanga, de Imus, de Libmanan, de Manila, and presently de Morong).
Nuestra Señora del Pillar de Morong will be the 38th or 39th Canonically crowned Marian image in the Philippines depending on the date of her Coronation which is yet to be announced.
