SAN MATEO, Rizal― A Marian Exhibit featuring the Canonically Crowned images in the Philippines was formally opened at the Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu Parochial School – Parish Hall, May 5.

The concelebrated mass was held before the formal opening led by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Bembol Hiteroza together with Fr. Edwin Tirado and Fr. Gerald Masangya. The exhibit features the 34 canonically crowned Marian images including the 5 images who are still waiting for their Coronation ceremony this year.

The exhibit also includes the statue of the Sto. Niño de Cebu as the lone canonically crowned Christological statue in the Philippines and the seated image of Our Lady of Aranzazu of Oñate, Spain who was canonically crowned in 1885.

The opening of the Marian exhibit was preceded by a ribbon cutting led by Councillor Obet San Pedro and Councillor Chris Cruz together with this year’s Hermana Mayor, Luisa Noche and followed by a soft blessing of the images.

Organized by the Recamaderos de los Imagenes en la Parroquia dela Virgen de Aranzazu (RIPVA), the exhibit is open until May 15 and free for all. The exhibit is in line with the 1st Canonical Coronation Anniversary of our patroness Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu on May 31.

The exhibit viewing hours is from Monday to Saturday : 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 7:00 am to 8:30 pm.
