VALENZUELA, City — The image of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu participated the 20th Annual Marian Exhibit and Procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima enshrined on her National Shrine in Marulas, Valenzuela, City with this year’s theme “20 Taon ng Pagsinta: Debosyong Valenzuelano kay Maria”.

The Marian exhibit was held inside the Museo Valenzuela and was formally opened last May 6, through the solemn high mass presided by Most Rev. Florentino G. Lavarias D.D., of Diocese of San Fernando.

Meanwhile, the Grand Marian Procession was held last May 13, after the 6:00 p.m. mass officiated by their former parish priest and now Bishop of Iba; Most Rev. Bartolome Santos Jr. D.D., and proceeded by the Coronation of the image of Our Lady of Fatima as they celebrate its 1st Episcopal Coronation Anniversary.

Bishop Santos also pays tribute to the late Bishop of the Diocese of Malolos (+) Most Rev. Jose F. Oliveros D.D., who passed away last May 11, 2018. The National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima is under the Diocese of Malolos.

The Misa dela Hermandad is a thanksgiving mass of the organizers and past and present Hermanos and Hermanas Mayores of their fiesta. This year’s Hermana Mayor is Hon. Lorena Natividad Borja and Family (the Vice Mayor of Valenzuela, City). The mass also featured the UST Conservatory of music; UST Symphony orchestra and UST Liturgikon Vocal Ensemble which shaped the mass extremely solemn, majestic and classic.

The image of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu was accompanied by the altar servers of Sto. Cristo Parish of Valenzuela, City, together with the members and officers of Association of Our Lady of Aranzazu-Cofradia and Knights of Our Lady of Aranzazu. The procession lasted more than an hour walk.

In addition, this is the 4th year participation of our Patroness in the said event which started way back 2014. The procession which was first held in May 1998 has been the most attended one by the devotees in the City of Valenzuela and in the Southern District of the Diocese of Malolos.
