SAN MATEO, Rizal – Installation of the new Knights of Columbus San Mateo Council 6259 officers recently took place at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu. The new Knights of Columbus officers took their oath during the 7:30 am community mass which was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Lopito Hiteroza, Shrine Rector and Parish Priest, and was preceded by a program at the parish formation center last July 29, Sunday.
District Deputy SK Miguel B. Talaue and District Warden SK Charley B. Lovendino, supervised the 49th installation of the new San Mateo Council 6259 officers where Luzon South Vocation Chairman SK Charlie P. Maghanoy was also present.
SK Rolando P. Gabriel is the newly elected Grand Knight (Head) for the Columbian Year 2018-2019 who will lead the organization in applying their order wide theme, “Faith in Action” to their duties as knights.
The Knights of Columbus is actually a fraternal service organization which takes part on the sociological service work of the parish. In part of their evangelical mission, the council organizes community-based activities like feeding program, free ultrasound, jail visitations and more.
Serving as the right hand of the church, the San Mateo Council 6259 with its newly installed officers enthusiastically calls for their brothers to join and take part of their vocation for charitable, religious and social welfare works.
