Why wear a Dracula costume when you can personify St. Theresa of Calcutta, and let people know of her honorable deeds to humanity? Why scare people of your sharp teeth and long nails when you can make other people feel the presence of the Lord through various saints who served as a way to keep our faith on Him?

This coming October 31st (Wednesday), Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Senora de Aranzazu (DSPNSDA)  will hold the annual March of Saints. The celebration will start with a holy mass at 6 in the morning and the march will follow right after. Everyone is invited to join and watch the youth who will represent their favorite saints.

The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), conducts this event annually to encourage Catholics especially the children to make it a tradition to celebrate Halloween by epitomizing saints instead of villainous characters.

PPC also finds this activity as one way to keep the memories of the saints and their remarkable contributions to the solidarity of the Christian faith, alive every now and then. Instead of getting in to the tradition of joining Halloween parties, let us celebrate the last day of the month in a unique yet heartwarming activity that will uplift our spiritual convictions.
