SAN ILDEOFONSO, Bulacan— The replica image of Our Lady of Aranzazu visited the Parish of San Ildeofonso last October 20-28, for the annual Marian Exhibit and Procession to coincide the 10th anniversary of “Pag paparangal ng mga kabataan kay Maria: Sampung taong biyaya at pagpapala, sa patnubay at gabay ni Maria sa mga kabataang mananampalataya”
Our Lady of Aranzazu wore her Episcopal Coronation vestment during the exhibit and procession. The image was accompanied by the officers and members of Cofradia de Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu and Tarcisian Adorers Turno 177, and some faithful devotees of San Ildeofonso.
The event is organized by the Parish Commission on Youth of San ildeofonso, wherein 10 different venerated and crowned Marian images in the Philippines who became festejada of their Marian exhibit in the past 10 years, gathered into one exhibit and procession starting from:
Nuestra Señora dela Marced of Pampanga (2009), Our Lady of Salambao of Obando (2010), Our Lady of Fatima of Valenzuela (2011), La Divina Pastora of Nueva Ecija (2012), Inmaculada Concepcion of Malolos (2013), Our Lady of the Abandoned of Marikina (2014), Soledad de Porta Vaga of Cavite (2015), Our Lady of Aranzazu of San Mateo (2016), Virgen del Pillar of Imus (2017), and Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage of Antiplo (2018).
Before the Marian Procession last October 28, a Eucharistic celebration was held at 5 p.m., led by their parochial vicar Fr. Edward C. Pecson. In his homily, he expressed his gratitude to all the delegations from different parishes and towns, and emphasized that the people of San Ildeofonso will always be part of their Marian devotion.
Before the concluding rites, an emotional and heart-warming message from the over-all chairman Bro. Herbert V. Roberto, who informed the faithful of San Ildeofonso that this year’s Marian exhibit and procession will be the last, but their devotion and love to Our Lady will never end.
The organizers also gave a memento to all the Cofradias and participating parishes, a framed certificate of appreciation with a magnificent photo of their patron saint San Ildeofonso. They also gave some goodies such as pastillas and chicharon which are special delicacies of San ildeofonso.
It might be the last, but the love and protection of Our Lady of Aranzazu will always remain in the town and the people of San Ildeofonso, Bulacan.
