DSPNSDA Shrine Rector and Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Bembol Hiteroza, together with the community of town of San Mateo as he warmly welcomed the Replica image of Our Lady of Light.
SAN MATEO, Rizal – Our Lady of Light first appeared on a Jesuit priest, Jose Antonio Genovese. According to him, the Mary ordered him to paint a representation of the apparition. When he completed the painting, the Mary appeared to him once more to give her an approval, blessed the painting and told him that it would be the source of joy throughout the world.
We are very fortunate that the replica of Our Lady of Light visits our shrine today, November 3 and will stay until November 10, 2018 as part of Our Lady of Light’s “Dalaw Kaliwanagan.” To warmly welcome the image, a procession took place at 9:00am from Resurection st going to our parish. Seven days of visit and devotion will happen starting from November 3 until November 10, everyday after the 6:00 AM mass. The image will go back to Cainta on November 10, Saturday after the 6:00 am mass. May the devotion to Our Lady of Light lead to Jesus who said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12). Elaine Sargento
