SAN MATEO, Rizal – The town of San Mateo in the province of Rizal is one of the many municipalities affected by floods during rainy season. There were also reports of landslides in the some of the barangay along the mountainous side of the municipality. Presently, the mountain in San Mateo is gradually affected by the so called deforestation. Deforestation caused flooding in the low lying areas which damage properties and even lives.
School’s philosophy declares that NSDAPS is a school community that is responsible steward of God’s creation and promotes and preserves ecological balance. All Aranzans are called to care for the environment.
In response to this environmental issue, the NUESTRA SENORA DE ARANZAZU PAROCHIAL SCHOOL is going to launch a tree planting activity called: The 500 Punong Tinik para kay Maria – An NSDAPS Golden Jubilee Tree Planting Project on November 24, 2018. This project is in line with the celebration of the NSDAPS Golden Jubilee this year. (Dani Villanueva)
