The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a time to celebrate the great joy of God’s gift to humanity through Mary, and to recognize with greater clarity, the truth that each and every human being has been created by God to fulfill a particular mission that he and only he can fulfill.
Rev. Fr. JD Guillermo presided the mass held in celebration of the Solemnity of Immaculate Conception. During his homily, Fr. JD taught the parishioners the acronym LOL.
L stands for Learn to say no
It is not always bad to say no to a circumstance. Sometimes we need to say it in order to refrain us from doing things that may hurt or that may lead us to committing sins.
O stands for Obedience
Obedience to God is important in your Christian growth. Hear God’s word and act accordingly. We can honor and maintain obedience to God by pondering on, or meditating on the words of Jesus.
L stands for Love
Don’t forget the greatest commandment, “To love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind…The second is to love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:36-40)
May we reflect and always remember why we celebrate the Immaculate Conception and to always honor Mary, the mother of our Lord.
