The month of January has been a great start of year 2019 for the parishioners of Nuestra Señora De Aranzazu as we continue to be more productive and active on our faith. We annually celebrate the Feast of Sto. Niño every 3rd Sunday of this month which falls on the 20th this year.
A procession will be held at 6 in the morning, starting from the house of Hermana Mayor (Amado Compound – Malanday) up to the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora De Aranzazu. The line up of the procession would be: (1) Ceriales, (2) Drum & Lyre, (3) Sambayanan, (4) Sto. Niño de San Mateo, (5) Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), (6) Hermana, and (7) Sambayanan.
Right after the procession, there will be a Thanksgiving Mass (Misa ng Pasasalamat) of Hermano Mayor and Menor to be presided by Rev. Fr. Lopito “Bembol” Hiteroza, 7:30 am at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora De Aranzazu (DSPNSDA).
To highlight the day’s event, a parade of 82 Sto. Niño images will go down the streets. The parade will start at 1 in the afternoon, starting from the Parish patio, the images will overpass at Hilario St., will turn left at Gomez St., B. Mariano St. and Resurrection St. They will then turn right at M.H Del Pilar St. and Kambal Rd., left again at GSIS and Patiis Rd., as well as in Gen. Luna St. up until the returning to Parish.
Celebrating the Feast of the Baby Jesus has been part of our devotion for centuries. Not only it brings joy and warmth in our hearts, but it deepens our understanding about Jesus’ younger days. Most importantly, our faith is being nourished deep within.
Viva Pit Señor!
