TANUAN, Batangas City – Catholics participate in different religious activities during Lenten Season where one is the Visita Iglesia. It is an annual tradition where devotees visit at least 7 churches to pray and reflect.

Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Senora de Aranzazu annually gather parishioners and devotees to hold a Visita Iglesia together. This year, almost 300 participants went to 7 churches in Batangas.

The first stop was National Shrine of St. Padre Pio, followed by Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish and St. John the Evangelist Parish respectively.

Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, Metropolitan Cathedral of San Sebastian, and Carmel of Our Lady Mary Mediatrix of All Grace Parish were also part of the visitation. While the final destination is the Parish of Mary Mediatrix.

Participants did not just pray but also appreciated the different architectural designs of the churches. Before everyone goes home, Rev. Fr.

Simply say, let us take the holy week more seriously by setting less important things aside and giving more time to different activities during this season because being active may teach us something that can help us grow spiritually.
