In Ink Drawing of Our Lady of Aranzazu by Joram Agpalo
On May 31, 2017, San Mateo was blessed as the town’s patroness was granted with the highest recognition given to a Marian image through the Canonical Coronation.
Two years after, the remarkable event was celebrated through a simple yet solemn concelebrated mass presided by Rev. Fr. Bembol Hiteroza, Parish Priest and Rev. Fr. JD Guillermo, Parochial Vicar and was also graced by Rev. Fr. Gerry Masangya, NSDAPS School Director, and Rev. Fr. Alan Oresca, Sta. Cecilia Parish Priest.
Canonical Coronation is a recognition given by Vatican for the relentless devotion of the people towards Our Lady of Aranzazu and even years after gaining the crown, the devotees never fail to express their deepest veneration to our Lady by celebrating the event in their own ways.
A devotee named Joram Agpalo shared on his timeline yesterday, a detailed ink drawing of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu with her Canonical Crown.
Along with the second anniversary of Our Lady of Aranzazu’s Canonical Coronation was the consecration of teachers and instructors from different Schools within San Mateo.
Let us remember that we are celebrating this day (May 31) not for the grandiose event it was but for the love and devotion that we have for Our Lady of Aranzazu.
