Rev. Fr. Michael Sandalo, CRSP as he delivered his homily on 4th Day of Novena Mass for the feast of NSDA.

SAN MATEO, RIZAL-The Fifth Day of Novena mass started as Sis. Linda Natividad reflected on the mass’s theme: “Maria, Bilang Ina ng Kagalingang Espiritwal at Katawan”, September 4.

She pointed out the concept of Annunciation. “Dalawa po ang ating pagkatao… katawan at espiritu,” Natividad said.
Our bodies are the one that we always take care of, we eat proper meals and groom ourselves properly. Meanwhile our spirit is hungry, and we need to feed it with good prayers and spiritual life.

“Pag mataas ang antas ng espiritu sa katawan, madali tayong gumaling,” she added.
If we have a good spiritual life, we could avoid having temptations or other “sicknesses”. Natividad also shared her experiences on how the Blessed Virgin Mary changed her life.

After the reflection, Rev. Fr. Michael Sandalo discussed how hardworking and merciful our Lord Jesus Christ was. As followers of Christ, we all know how compassionate our God is for He gives time and attention to the needy by doing his works and miracles, and blessing us with grace that’s why for Fr. Sandalo, the act of sharing is a must thing to do.

“Ang grasya ng Diyos ay hindi dapat sinasarili, dapat ipinapamigay,” Fr. Sandalo reiterated. On the other hand, some people like to keep the blessings that they had received only for themselves which the Fr. Sandalo finds problematic.
“Mayroong problema ang grasyang kanilang natanggap at ang grasyang kanilang na-enjoy ay gusto nilang sarilihin,” he exclaimed. The act of sharing is one of noble acts that we should practice here in this world. Always keep in mind that we should not hesitate to help others for the Lord didn’t think twice to bless us when we are in need.
