Rev. Fr. Jimmy Anastacio, CRSP as he delivered his homily on 4th Day of Novena Mass for the feast of NSDA.
SAN MATEO, Rizal – Rev. Fr. Jimmy Anastacio presided the 6th novena mass which was themed: “Maria Bilang Mapagpatawad na Ina” . It was centered on forgiveness, its consequences and aspects.
Fr. Jimmy mentioned that we should always have the willingness to forgive people because depriving others with forgiveness only means living in the past. He said that living in the past won’t change anything, but by forgiving people who have mistaken us will drastically improve our future and that person’s life as well. By sticking in the past, we are preventing ourselves to move forward and that halt in change also stops our growth as a Christian.
Fr. Jimmy also talked about happiness, he stated that we should always be happy everytime we are serving God and doing the Lord’s work. God’s presence is accompanied by happiness, and whenever God is with us there is always a solution to each and every problem that comes on our way. We should always find the positive side of things and make time for ourselves to smile in every whatever situation we are in.
Happiness and forgiveness give us freedom. Being free enables us to move forward while adapting to change and growing as a person and most importantly, as a Christian.
