SAN MATEO, RIZAL – The last part of the three-day program for the upcoming feast of Nuestra Señora De Aranzazu (NSDA) was filled with fun and excitement as the church servants perform distinct sets of acts during the “Harana kay Maria”, September 8.

Harana kay Maria, known before as Asalto kay Maria, is an event wherein church servants gather to perform songs and animations in celebration of the birth of Virgin Mary, Mother of God.

In this year’s installment of the said event, different flavors are added to make the celebration more engaging and meaningful.

The event started with the opening act of Couples for Christ Global in collaboration with Youth for Christ. They serenaded parishioners with their version of “Magnificat.” Meanwhile, the Animators Club, an organization under the Youth Ministry, rocked the stage as they perform an animation medley, the act they presented on the recent Youth Jam.

Aside from these beautiful acts, selected members of each ministry played the famous game “Hep Hep Hooray!”. The crowd were cheering on their respective representatives. But at the end of the game, Aarof Corpuz from the Ministry of Altar Servers bagged the champion title for this game.

Subsequently, the Coordinators of Munting Sambayanang Kristiyano (MSK) and chosen members from the Ministry of Lectors showcased a short skit. The parishioners were touched with their heartwarming performance.

After the presentation, another game was played by the church servants which is the Scavenger Hunt. Participants were tasked to look for pieces of paper under the pews. Those who found those papers, receive either a poster or a mini replica of our dear patron, Nuestra Señora De Aranzazu (NSDA).

Servants of Jesus and Mary concluded the set of performances as they present their interpretation of the song “I will follow Him”.

Lastly, Sis. Joy Fandialan along with the parishioners, lead a Happy birthday song for the Blessed Mary.
