The month of October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. It is because the liturgical Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, formerly known as Our Lady of Victory and Feast of the Holy Rosary is celebrated every October 7 to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary for the protection that she gives the Church.

Saint Pius V instituted the feast of “Our Lady of Victory” as a yearly feast to celebrate the victory at Lepanto. Up to this day we are celebrating it by praying the Holy Rosary throughout the whole month of October, and it is being done by Catholics worldwide.

The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of our Lady of Aranzazu celebrates the month of the Holy Rosary through different activities where one is the Living Rosary.

The Living rosary was initiated by the Worship Ministry right after the evening mass where members from different parish ministry and organizations also participated.

In the past years, participants would stand on the patio, forming a shape of a rosary. This year, a rosary made out of flowers is prepared near the altar, and after every prayer, the leader (of the last prayer) will put a candle on the rosary flower. Each participant is holding their own rosary.

The Living Rosary aims to gather each parishioner in a powerful form of prayer.
