Rev. Fr. Gerard Masangya presided the 12 noon mass during the 29th sunday in ordinary time.
The Gospel is about Luke 18:1-8, the Parable of the Persistent Widow. It is about a poor widow that an unjust judge ignored, but she kept asking to give her justice until he gave up and finally granted her request.
Fr. Gerry talked about prayer life in this modern times. He reiterated how people today lack enough time to pray due to the progressing times. “Habang nagiging ‘high-tech’ nawawalan ka ng oras para sa panalangin.” he said.
Fr. Gerry also said that millenials want their prayer request to be answered immediately because technology makes everything instant nowadays. “
He encourages us to have patience and to pray consistenly because the perfect time will come that God will answer our prayers. Fr Gerry added when it comes to praying to God daily.
