When we were children we are fond of angels. We appreciate them most. Some of us we dressed as little angel…with those white clothes, wings decorated by cottons, and of course with a halo on the head. Yes we love angels so dearly when we were children. We even memorize the prayer:

“Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here, ever this day (or night) be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide.”

But how come now that we grow on age we forget our guardian angels? We do not pray anymore that prayer.

Perhaps because we tend to think that angels are only for children. Perhaps because we are already old and think that we do not need them anymore. Perhaps because we think they already served its purpose for children. Perhaps because we believe that we can go on our own without them. Perhaps we have been so boastful of our own strength. Perhaps we have been big-headed because of our successes in life.

But you know what? It is when we experience difficulties in life that we realize we cannot live on our own. When we are on the point of breaking do we recognize that we need help from others, that we are incomplete how successful we are in life. It is only when we are lost do we bend our knees and with tears in our eyes pray. We need our guardian angels.

Guardian angels are real. They are gift from God. They are beside us to guard us. They have wings so they can fly fast to God to deliver our prayers. They are praying for us.

Talk to your guardian angel. Be a guardian angel to others…
