To prevent any offenses from happening, our local government unit committee will prohibit activities and items on the procession/parade.
SAN MATEO, Rizal – The Feast of the Senyor Sto. Niño is one of the colorful, grandest religious activity in the Philippines during the start of every year.
The San Mateo Local Government Unit Committee (PNP-San Mateo, BFP San Mateo, Barangay Officials together DSPNSDA Parish Pastoral Council) organizing the procession of the Feast of Sto. Niño Festival, which will culminate with the parade this Saturday, January 19, issued important reminders to the public to maintain peace and order during the event.
Local devotees and other pilgrims and tourists, flock to San Mateo, Rizal to take part in the Festival, with their Niños (Child Jesus) carrying in the parade.
Authorities advised the public to avoid bringing certain items that can cause harm or may pose a threat to devotees.
The prohibited items include:
- Flammable items;
- Firecrackers;
- Fragile and sharp objects;
- Alcohol;
- Firearms and other weapons
Meanwhile, participants are encouraged to bring the following:
- Identification card;
- Transparent garbage bag;
- Food and water.
