There are a lot of activities that we all look forward to during Holy Week. These include the blessing of palms, processions, washing of the feet, and Senakulo. Not to mention are the activities organized by different churches and  parishes to encourage Catholic members to be more active in church during this time.

But for the first time since World War II, Holy Week activities will be cancelled. Prior to this was the cancellation of public masses and other holy gatherings since the enhanced community quarantine implemented on March 15, 2020.

However, Archbishop J. Michael Miller of the Archdiocese of Vancouver emphasized that we are only cancelling the mass gatherings and not the Holy Week itself.

“We’re not cancelling Holy Week. It can never be cancelled; it’s Holy Week!”

The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Senora de Aranzazu prepared a schedule of masses and audio-visual presentations that you may watch while staying at home. Once again, we will be able to watch the history of Our Lady of Aranzazu and real-life stories of love, hope, and miracle  among its parishioners.
