The national government includes Rizal province among the places that will be under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) as the Extended Enhanced Community Quarantine (EECQ) ends on May 15. However, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) stands with its decision to prohibit religious gatherings under GCQ.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. said in a presscon that the IATF reverted its decision on religious gatherings after considering the recommendations of LGUs. He claimed that the palace also consulted almost all religious groups that agreed to the prohibition rather than take the risk.
The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Senora de Aranzazu (DSPNSDA) under the Diocese of Antipolo will comply with this regulation and assures that it will extend its effort to consistently stream online masses to serve the faithful with their spiritual needs.
The parish will keep its chapel open to welcome those who still want to pray at the church though everyone is expected to follow the precautionary measures such as practicing social distancing and wearing of masks.
GCQ keeps it mandate that 0-20 years old and 60 years old and above who are more prone to getting infected must stay at home.
