In line with the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines, Pope Francis will grant a plenary indulgence to Catholics who make a pilgrim to the assigned Jubilee Churches. The Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) defines an indulgence as the “remission of the temporal punishment due to sins, which have already been forgiven.”
Our country is gearing up to celebrate this momentous event revolving around the theme “gifted to give,” taken from the Gospel of Matthew 10:8. In this verse, if we look at it very closely, it says, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you received, freely you give.“
As we prepare to celebrate our faith, may we also hold close to our hearts our purpose and, if we are truly indeed gifted to give, then we must answer this call as one community of God. Part of this preparation, the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Senora De Aranzazu , San Mateo, Rizal is in joyful spirit in accepting this unique and once in a lifetime opportunity for our faithful and for being chosen as one of the 7 Jubilee Churches in the Diocese of Antipolo.
For this reason, we need to perform a face-lift upon our Church and other related structures such as the following:
1) Pews
2) Cabinets for Sanitary Ministry
3) Parish comfort rooms
4) Repair inside the ceiling of the Church
5) Repainting of the Church
6) Repair of Canopy
7) Building of Baptistry
8) Repair of Roof flushing
9) Cross lighting , and most important of all,
10) the Jubilee Door.
The above-mentioned improvement requires some logistics. We are therefore knocking on hearts for your kindness and generosity. Please share your blessings to the Church and to God.
