Do you believe that it is normal for relationships to experience hardships? Or do you believe that there should not be difficulties faced in relationships? Are you feeling unmotivated these past few days because what you’re doing is not aligned to what you want to become or whom you should be?
When we wake up to the different sunrise each day, we plan, think, and introspect. We have our own goals. Questions like “Am I going to brush my teeth?” “Am I going to ride a jeep?”, simply makes us decide. We make choices. Sometimes, because of the workloads we have on work, school, organizations, our purpose is being challenged. And one same question that we may find difficult to answer is “Am I going to continue this?” or “Do I keep on going?”
Today, we commemorate the Palm Sunday, the time when Jesus entered Jerusalem. Jesus, although he had foresaw his death, entered calmly because he knew that it was his purpose. Life may not be all good times. We are faced with negativities each day to the point that it may question our self-worth, motivation, and purpose. We cannot find the right thing to do if we have not encountered a hundred mistakes and challenges.
For instance, you might want to try and join different school or non-school organizations that would match up your purpose in life. You might be out to try different jobs that would enable you to introspect. We must keep sailing. Note that sailing cannot be done in a day, a week— but it is a long journey. And by that, it could finally reach us to the conclusion of our life’s purpose.
This Palm Sunday, Jesus tells us that in fulfilling our purpose in life, it is normal for us to face the negativities and challenges that may hinder us in achieving those. No matter how big or small the challenge is, we must boldly walk on our life’s path because it will simply lead us into our purpose. With all of these, Jesus becomes our model on how to be purpose driven.
To become purpose driven, it is depicted as following God’s purposes and not our own. Letting God and making an effort through God’s will is a combination to battle up the challenges we may be encountering to reach our life’s purpose.
