Together with the Feast of Our Lady of Aranzazu last September 9, a painting contest was held at the DSPNSDA grounds. The program started on the Shrine’s patio with seven artists who battled out using their creative juices. Here are the winners:<\/p>\n

Advanced category: <\/p>\n Junior category: Like the other contestants in the advanced category, Patrick used acrylic paint in a 15″ x 20″ illustration board. Minutes after the contest proper started, he was seen doing the background for his masterpiece. Patrick mixed in hues of orange and yellow, all in a radial manner to complete his base.<\/p>\n On the other hand,Louissiana combined the use of cray pas and a black marker to create a unique art style. The marker served as a stroke style to the elements of her art, immediately catching the attention of passers-by. Earlier in the competitionLouissiana was using sheets of tissues to wipe off excessive amounts of cray pas, making sure that her piece is neat and tidy.
