SAN MATEO, Rizal – (Updated) Vocation<\/em> campaigns were again promoted this year in all of the parishes under the Diocese of Antipolo. This was last October 22 during the Sunday masses.\u00a0 The purpose of these campaigns is to raise awareness of vocations to the priesthood. It is important\u00a0for young people to begin to open their minds and hearts to the direction in which God is calling them. \u00a0There is still time to plan a way to promote this every now and then. We have several resources listed below to get you started.\u00a0It is imperative to the future of our faith that parishes are promoting and encouraging the youth to consider becoming a priest or pursuing the religious life.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Fortunately, there are many great ministries striving to provide resources to help those discerning a vocation find direction and encouragement. \u00a0One website,\u00a0TheLivingPerson.com<\/a>, has developed a mini-series titled \u201cMy Vocation is Love.\u201d \u00a0The series is described as a way to help others discover God\u2019s plan: \u201cThe word vocation means so much more than the four we are taught: (1) priesthood, (2) religious life, (3) marriage and (4) single life. These are the right answers, but like many things involving our faith, it is a word that is overflowing with beauty and complexity. It is our hope to capture these stories and communicate them in authentic, artful, and engaging ways.\u201d<\/em><\/h5>\n

In a local setting, our very own Vocation Ministry<\/a> Official Page<\/strong> on Facebook, shared about what vocation is. Take a few moments to watch and be inspired. This would be a wonderful series to use for upcoming Vocation Promotion Sunday or to promote vocations within your youth group.<\/h5>\n
