It helps to strengthen our faith. While reading the bible, we can escape from the stress brought by the world to meditate and relax for a while.<\/p>\n

For years, we are reading bible and there are some things we don\u2019t know about bible. Here are the 10 facts about bible:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. The Bible (KJV) has 31,102 verses and 1189 chapters.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The shortest verse in the bible is in John 11:35: “Jesus wept”<\/em><\/p>\n

    The longest verse: Esther 8:9: \u201cThe king’s scribes were summoned at that time, in the third month, which is the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day. And an edict was written, according to all that Mordecai commanded concerning the Jews, to the satraps and the governors and the officials of the provinces from India to Ethiopia, 127 provinces, to each province in its own script and to each people in its own language, and also to the Jews in their script and their language.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

    The longest chapter is Ps 119 while the shortest chapter: Ps 117 with just two verses. On the other hand, the shortest book is 3 John while the longest book is Psalms.<\/p>\n

    Maher-shalal-hash-baz is the longest word in bible and most used word is “the.”<\/p>\n

      China is not only the largest producer of textiles and manufactured goods in the world; the country is also the largest producer of Bibles.<\/p>\n

        There are 5 billion copies are sold and over 100 million copies of bible are sold each year. The Bible is the most commonly stolen book in the world, most likely because it is available in hotel rooms and places of worship.<\/p>\n

        1. The first, middle, and last words in the bible.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \u201cIn\u201d is the first word in the bible. (Genesis 1:1) \u201cIn the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.<\/em>\u201d<\/em> The middle word is \u201cthe Lord.\u201d (Psalm 118:9) \u201cIt is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.\u201d<\/em> And the last word in the bible is \u201cAmen.\u201d (Revelation 22:21) \u201c<\/em>The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. AMEN.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

          When you put the first, middle, and last words together, it will create a sentence, \u201cIn the Lord, Amen!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

                    The names of the wise men were not mention in the bible and also it nowhere says that they were three. What the bible says is that there are three gifts brought by the wise men: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (Matthew 2:21)<\/p>\n

                    1. The most expensive book in the world is the translation of Biblical psalms.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      \u201cThe Bay Psalm Book\u201d which was sold for over $14 million. It is the first book printed America and was the Puritan\u2019s attempt to make their translation of the Old Testament book.<\/p>\n

                      Today, as we celebrate the national bible week, let us take time to read the bible and make it a habit.<\/p>\n
