The National Historical Commission of the Philippines represented by its President, Rene R. Escalante unveiled the Historical Marker of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Senora de Aranzazu (DSPNSDA) on Friday morning, August 31.<\/p>\n
Antipolo Bishop Most Rev. Francisco M. De Leon D.D. was also part of the ceremony who also blessed the unveiled marker; with him are DSPNSDA Shrine Rector and Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Lopito \u201cBembol<\/em>\u201d Hiteroza, San Mateo Mayor Cristina \u201cTina<\/em>\u201d Diaz and PPC President, Bro. Dani Villanueva as witnesses.<\/p>\n The Historical Marker tells the origin and milestones of the parish including the Pontifical Coronation of Our Lady of Aranzazu. As requested by Fr. Bembol, Escalante elaborated the parish\u2019s history and read the certificate stating the grant of the Historical Marker to Aranzazu shrine.<\/p>\n During his talk, Escalante said that the Hsitorical Marker may serve as a reminder that the Shrine of Our Lady of Aranzazu is now an integral part of the national history.<\/p>\n Bishop De Leon presided the thanksgiving mass inside the parish following the unveiling ceremony. At the end of the mass, Fr. Bembol expressed his gratitude \u00adfor everyone\u2019s participation in the special event of the parish.
