The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de Aranzazu recently served as a place for an inspirational night of sharing and reflection in the Radical Love Conference. The event began with the help of the San Mateo Catholic and Charismatic Renewal leading the parishioners off of their feet through the opening prayer with joyful songs of praise and worship.<\/p>\n
Cherry Pie Picache\u2019s \u201cRadical Love\u201d was shown during the program which was an inspiration or basis of the theme of the Radical Love Conference. Hearts were moved during the scene of Cherry Pie\u2019s forgiveness to her mother\u2019s murderer as it was repeatedly mentioned throughout the conference, that it is never an easy task to easily forgive the people who caused such a traumatic incident which lead to a lost of a loved one. Forgiving in general is never an easy thing for most people but as Cherry Pie mentioned in the documentary, how can you be forgiven if you cannot even forgive?<\/p>\n
The documentary gave a glimpse of the theme to make the parishioners more reflective and see the deeper purpose of the Radical Love Conference. A special presentation of the Pag-ibig ng Panginoon Community Kid Ministry preceded the Love and Devotion Forum where the first part had several sharers from different ministries and organizations of the parish. Each of them had their own unique stories and showed various kinds of love which they used or discovered in order to surpass the challenging circumstances they have encountered. Some of the love that was mentioned and shared is the kind of love that heals, a love that strengthens, a love that gives hope, a love that lifts from downfall and a love that unites. All of the sharing proved that love doesn\u2019t need to be grandeur, sometimes it is better shown through simpler means.<\/p>\n
Stories shared by Sis. Lilia Rodriguez, Bro. Alfie Angeles, and Bro. Roger San Miguel are the final part of the forum which was first preceded by the Animators Club special number. They all added more points of reflection to the previous sharing which is to have that kind of love that never seeks revenge to others who have mistaken against you, to love God and your neighbor and always trust God that He has greater plans for each and everyone of us.<\/p>\n
Before the end of the conference, parishioners were asked to place their \u201cfootprints,\u201d which are papers filled with their prayer and intentions in front of the altar.
