Some people are hesitant to accept cremation. It is understandable because it is not engraved in our culture and tradition, and besides, before there was a misconception with regards to resurrection. They thought that in the resurrection we will go back to the original state of the body. No, it will be a different one, we will have a transformed body, a glorified body, a resurrected body.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Those who succumbed to Covid-19, usually as per advised by the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force) be cremated ASAP. I guess that’s for sanitary purposes. Although if we are going to study history, some countries practice cremation already according to their beliefs. For us Christians, it is relatively new but we are open to it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our respects to our dead loved ones take on many forms; prayer for their souls, remembrance of their time with us here, fond memories that could be commanded by visiting their graves and spending time there far from the hurley-burley of the mall-studded metropolis. But since even the public cemeteries are not crowd proof these days, a more intimate reminiscence with our loved ones is afforded by the private columbarium. Its time has come. <\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, to make these columbariums congenial for us who utilize them for our private, familial purposes, these need to be pleasantly appointed, dignified, productive of meaningful moments with our departed, we are in duty bound to make these not mordant reminders of death, but rather areas that offer opportunities for quiet exchanges with our departed significant ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

Making these repositories of their remains in consonance with our need for privacy as we memorialize them in prayer and recollection this is our aim in so constructing them that they do not clash with our aesthetic and spiritual requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n
