This was the newly ordained Auxiliary Bishop Nolly Camingue Buco JCD, D.D. reiterated during his sermon on the holy mass for the Feast of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu, September 9.
Hundreds of people including parishioners, local government officials and even priests from other parishes gathered to witness the event. The celebration was one of the first masses of Buco as an auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Antipolo.
Bishop Buco also pointed out that the strong faith is the greatest treasure of the parish that we should pass on to the next generation.
After the the mass, San Mateo-Vice Mayor Jose Rafael “Paeng” Diaz greeted the townspeople and said,“atin nawang alalahanin ang pagmamahal ng ating Ina sa Bayan ng San Mateo.” Parish Pastoral Council President, Danny Villanueva also expressed his gratitude by saying “patuloy nating ipagpasalamat sa ating mahal na Ina na hindi niya tayo pinabayaan at hindi niya tayo iniwan.”
The mass concluded with the freeing of butterflies as sign of devotion and veneration to our Blessed Virgin Mary.
Deepened Faith
