#redwednesday

Churches will once again turn Red. If you see them, don’t be afraid for this means they are taking a strong stand against the discrimination, harassment, and persecution of Christians all over the world.

This year 2022, the celebration falls on November 23. With the theme “Blessed are the persecuted,” the main celebration will be at the National Shrine of Our Lady and Good Voyage in Antipolo, Rizal at 6 pm.

Churches all over the country are expected to join the celebration too by having a holy mass, saying a prayer, and illuminating their churches red.

As individuals, we can take part by attending the mass, joining the prayer vigil, wearing red, and encouraging others to do the same.

In 2017, The Aid To The Church in Need (ACN) organized the Red Wednesday event in the Philippines to commemorate the persecution of our brothers and sisters because of their faith in Christianity. It also promotes respect among people who express faith in other religions.

Please join us on the 23rd November and during the month of November to Break the Silence on the persecution of Christians and all faiths, globally. We ask you to pledge your prayer and action this #RedWednesday.” -ACN

Watch the holy mass live on Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu’s (DSPNSDA) Facebook Page, YouTube, and Twitter (@aranzazushrine), 6 pm.
